E.R. Stuebner was selected to construct the design of a new Lynnewood Elementary School, replacing the original building on the same site. Situated in a densely populated residential area, the layout of the redesigned campus was influenced by its proximity to neighboring homes and the community’s extensive use of the fields and site amenities. The site’s significant slope led to a building layout that allows for on-grade access at both the first and second floors. The new school accommodates 700 K-5 students and offers a wide range of educational and community spaces. These include a central learning circle for breakout activities, a dedicated life skills suite, a flexible stage that serves both the gym and cafeteria, and an enclosed outdoor learning and play area with direct access to the classroom wing, library, and cafeteria.
